George Cappanelli

George Cappannelli is an award-winning author, film and television director, and sculptor. He has also served as a consultant and coach to many Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and national associations, and he has provided strategic coaching and innovative research in three Presidential Campaigns, a U.S. Senate Campaign, and a local Mayoral Campaign.

He and his wife, Sedena, are Co-Founders of AgeNation, a multi-platform media company dedicated to redefining what it means to live consciously and age wisely in the 21st century, and are also Co-Founders of Empower New Mexico, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves the needs of vulnerable elders.

George is a leading expert on individual, organizational, and societal change and has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Under the banner of The Information and Training Company, his clients have included Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and national associations: Accenture, The Boeing Company, Hughes Space & Communications, TRW, PepsiCo, NASA, Taco Bell, Pacific Bell, Sun Microsystems, Honeywell, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Oracle, Space Systems/Loral, The National Forest Service, Grumman, The U.S. Navy, The U.S. Postal Service, The Walt Disney Company, The Israel Government, The Los Angeles Times, and many others.

In addition to his work in the corporate sector and his work on conscious living and wise aging, he has had a very diverse career. He has been privileged to work on projects with world leaders, including Desmond Tutu, Lech Walesa, Golda Meir, Mother Teresa, and the Dalai Lama. As President and Founder of two New York film and television production companies, Theater Visions and Axial Productions, his work has been recognized with several International Film Awards, as well as Andy and Cleo Awards, two special category Emmy Awards, and two Telly Awards.

He served as Executive Director of The Sedona Institute and as one of the members of The Society for the Advancement of Human Spirit, an organization chaired by the Dalai Lama.

He served as a lead facilitator for Insight Seminars and was a member of the group that founded The Insight Consulting Group. His background also includes work in the advertising and marketing field, where he served as Executive Vice President and Creative Director of Allerton, Berman and Dean, a New York firm.

In 1991, he returned to the political arena, where he managed the launch of Jerry Brown's U.S. Senate Campaign in California. He also served as a special consultant in the 1992, 2000, and 2008 Presidential Campaigns and in 2004 served as the chief strategist in a mayoral campaign that elected the first democrat in 30 years by the largest plurality in the town's history.

His award-winning sculptures in stone, wood, and bronze are in public and private collections and have been exhibited in galleries in New York, Los Angeles, and Santa Fe. As a writer, he is the co-author with his wife, Sedena, of five books: Say Yes to Change, Authenticity, Do Not Go Quietly, The Best Is Yet To Be, and Getting Unstuck, and their new book Making the Best of the Rest of Your Life (due out soon). He is also the author of We the People, Democracy's Best and Last Hope; Conversations with Merlin; It's About Time and Timelessness; A Man Is…; a trilogy of novels entitled Old Stones & Promises; and a new novel, Life After Life After…

George is a producer/director. His innovative Theater Visions Series brought plays from Broadway and Off-Broadway to television, and his Inside Music Series forged new territory in presenting innovative performances combined with backstage interviews and audience interactions. More recently, he co-produced and directed the award-winning, 40-episode Ageless Living PBS Television Series, which originally aired nationally on PBS and is now available on Amazon Prime and Tubi, Touching the Heart, and Healing the Soul, the Telly Award-winning 2021 two-hour pre-inaugural live stream special.

George and his wife Sedena live in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
